Teams can always use fiscal support, of course, but mentoring is just as important and teams deeply value and benefit from professional guidance at all levels of team development. This is a great opportunity to get to meet teams and see how helping them, helps companies by helping creating solid academic and workforce readiness skills and professional development skills.
Helping FIRST teams in a community also helps keep their great talent at home, by showing youth that the professional community values them.
Participants will be able to learn more about FIRST and to meet some of the incredible youth involved in our programs. There will be light food and refreshments, and guests will be able to see and drive student-built robots.
Tampa Bay area teams interested in being part of the Meet & Greet are invited to register using our online form by August 7. Tampa Bay area business leaders and companies interested in learning more are invited to contact TWillingham@usfirst.org , as are teams anywhere in Florida interested in organizing FIRST Meet & Greet events in their area.
